Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable that we keep showing more and more examples from the human world of how dangerous it is for animals in all its aspects and forms. Unfortunately, this is the true face of things.

Our human world, invented and built to work for humans’ convenience, work, recreation and entertainment, is made of dangers for animals that they do not have the skills to overcome. They are not designed to have such skills, because nature cannot foresee all of it.

For me personally, the worst part is that death is painful and by no means natural, as it would be from natural causes.

An eagle-owl hanging tangled all night in a net on a sports field. Injuries were mostly to the legs and were quite severe - open wounds, severed tendons and toe, massive tissue swelling. One of the wings was also injured, fortunately there were only bruised and traumatized tissues, no fractures. Birds can't hang upside down for long, so it's a real miracle that the eagle-owl survived after many hours of exhausting struggle with the net hanging upside down.

Many thanks to the Municipality of Boboshevo and one particular municipal employee who made a great effort to bring the bird down and get to us for help!
