His mother was killed by a dog, when she transported it to another nest, and the quick reaction of the dog`s owners saved its life. The rest of the litter is somewhere in the old or the new nest; maybe in both.

The squirrel Parvan, his mother and the his brothers and sisters are just a tiny part of the millions of wildlife victims on a worldwide scale, of our pets, which are not a part of wild nature.

This isn't natural selection, this is mass extermination, caused by humans; because humans are is responsible for this staggering amount of non-wild animals with access to wildlife.
