Tiny-tiny Kosyo

Tiny-tiny Kosyo

Tiny-tiny Kosyo. He came to us crushed like a bug, at the bottom of the box.

He was probably “mowed” with a grass trimmer and it happened so fast that he did not have the chance to crouch. A lot of his spikes were cut, and they punctured the skin when they fell back on. The whole skin of this tiny 200 grams body has wounds - stabs from his own spikes.

Despite all the pain and horror, he was actually lucky. Grass trimmer wounds can be far worse and a hedgehog could literally be cut in half by the blades that rotate with horrific speed, while a human is mowing his lawn.

For Kosyo and the rest, let us remind you again of the instructions that may save at least some of them. Before you start mowing, take a walk around the perimeter, while stomping hard and making noise around the area you are about to mow. Keep in mind that adult hedgehogs sometimes sleep very deeply, and move away very slowly.
